I thought mtech knob has the boot attached. I guess not. Did you have trouble removing your knob originally?

These were on the car when I bought it and the boot was not attached to the knob (or ebrake handle). I just put it in 2nd and pulled straight up, like my e36 and it popped right off. Put the new one on in reverse order.
