Just to start a thread for the 757 people to decide on a route up and any possible stops along the way...

My starting point would be VB, so I was thinking just take the Bridge Tunnel and go Eastern Shore.

BTW, is the 757 crew looking at departing late Friday evening or early Saturday morning?

i think it would easier taking the freeway all the way up. cuz if we leave early sat morning then we should still be fine when we get close dc.

How about the 757 crew meeting up with some of the Northern Virginia groups that way we can caravan all the way up.

This would rock. Let's figure out the 757 route and see if it can jive with a NOVA town to meet up.

+1 the last time I drove up to DC a damn pothole on I-95 bubbled the right front tire on my wifes X5

It's right near where the HOV lane starts, heading north in the fast lane.

Would 17 to 301 be any smoother?

Definitely agree we should definitely meet up with the NOVA people though, cruinsing up with a huge group would be a lot of fun.

Randy in the other thread suggested we drive up friday night and stop somewhere... We could probably do this and stop just outside of DC somewhere, and that way NOVA people could meet us at the hotel Sat morning and we would all leave from there?

If all the VA folks are meeting up, you may as well add the MD caravan too. I suggest they meet at the College Park Ikea

301 is a nice ride, shorter than taking 95 up to DC. less traffic too

id steer clear of rt 95, too many truck and crap.

stay along the bay, you'll enjoy the ride more.

if you guys are taking 95 south stop in the springfield area. Franconia exit. tell me what you think, then we can meet up with the md crew at college park ikea. if you are coming friday nite i know some hotels in the area.
