More Pork

Well finally, I have found my Porsche 911. its been a long time coming (approx 37 years - from birth!). I paid the deposit today on the following car;

2006/06 Carrera 2S Manual
49000 miles
Seal grey
19" Carrera Sport wheels
Sunroof
PCM and phone
PDC
Sports chrono plus
Rear wiper (I cant believe this is an option)
BOSE
CD changer
Multifunction steering wheel
Floor mats with leather edging ( option???)

The car has just had new front and rear discs and pads, 3 new tyres and a full 111 point inspection. I have also got them to replace the clutch as he told me it felt heavy, and they are sorting out the leather on the o/s bolster. It will come with a 6 month warranty, but Ill be sticking a Porsche warranty on it soon.

I have yet to see the car, but the dealer, who Ive been chatting to over the last couple of days, have really inspired a lot of confidence in me, but I'm going to get it checked by the local Porsche dealer anyway.

Collection day should be next Thursday, providing I can get the clutch and inspection done in the mean time.

Here is a link to the advert ( I didn't pay screen price), and Ive uploaded a couple of pics. Just to say this was the number 1 colour choice and the number 1 wheel choice for me - I am on cloud nine at the moment.

http://www.monksheathprestige.com/us...erley/16814798

I'm off to the Dam in the morning, so wont have to chance to think about it over the weekend, so only 4 sleeps! Ill then have it a week then I'm off snowboarding, but Ill try and use it as much as possible in the mean time!

Nice car. Trust me those wheels look so much more 'appropriate' with genuine gold centres. I hate that Porsche don't do them as standard.

Colour is nice and it looks in great condition.

Love the colour and the condition looks fantastic.

Have not seen those wheels before but they make the car look 'grown up'

Enjoy your travels and the collection experience.

That looks gorgeous Oli; I'm now exceedingly jealous of another E90post member!!! Love the colour, great spec and sounds like it'll be well sorted by the time you get her for many miles trouble free motoring. Nice one (genuinely, I don't hate you, honest!!!!!)

Welcome to the E90 Pork Chapter

Well done Oli, as I said before the Carrera Sports are a great looking alloy, I would agree they would look better with coloured centres (that was the first OPC fit 'mod' I had on my C4S!

Wise to get the local OPC to give it their 111 point check as well, although am sure all will be well. Is it OPC Wilmslow who they are sending it to?

Tax free Sunday, 6th March. May pop down for a look.
Looks like Supercar Sunday has been moved to May this year.

Stunning, and perhaps the purest 911?

I fill up with petrol at this garage, they do the cheapest BP Ult. I looked in on Sat, but only saw all the Scooby Sti's.

Very nice Oli. Congratulations, looks like you got the spec you wanted. My Turbo S may be going soon

I love those wheels too. Hope you don't mind me saying but your 997 is calling for a a set of coloured crest centre caps.
