Wow, bet you'll struggle to sleep tonight Oli, nice one.

My office is exactly 4.0 miles from the garage (according to Autoroute) so, not that you'll have travelled far, feel free to PM me and I'll make you a brew (after a blast up the A34 by-pass of course ).

Oli, enjoy the day picking up the 997.

Peter, try and come down first weekend in May and you can come along to supercar Sunday at Goodwood.

Bastard . It was my bosses company car and for some reason he just gave it to me. There was a mistake on the lease from memory so we just kep it going on a rolling contract as it was ridiculously cheap. At the time it was the business, I was only young, not many of my mates had their own cars and I had this fairly rapid (at the time) two door coupe with 'pop-up' lights and paid absolutely nowt. Maybe with what I know now about cars I probably wouldn't hold it in such high regard . Oh, did I say Bastard .

Hello mate and welcome to a great forum, looks like you have got yourself a fantastic car, any questions just ask.

If you fancy a drive out we are having a meet in the Cotswolds this Saturday, be about 15 cars attending and it will be a great day out.

There is a sticky on the main UK page.

I also used to own an S2000, never a Ford Probe though

My first company car was a Ford Escort 1.4LX so you win with the Probe.

Here I am. Haven't had chance to do a write up on the 997, as I've been away boarding for 8 days and flat out at work. All I can say is I'm loving it.

Hello Jon, hope you're loving my old car - enjoy.

Out of interest what would you all choose C2S or C4S?

Trips to the ring would no longer be spoiled by rain in the 4er?

Cracking looking car BTW

C4S of course

I suspect the difference between the 2WD and 4WD to the average driver is almost imperceptible. The 4S is slightly heavier and to the purist probably doesn't handle in the exact same way as the 2S. My choice was driven by the wide body look of the 4S.......

Yeah, I'd be sooooo torn between the two. My only experience of driving a Porsche (I'm on a self-imposed ban for my own protection ) was on a driving day and drove a C2S and was blown away (highlight of the day even against a Lambo, Ferrari, Aston).

But, as Peter says, it would be virtually impossible for me to resist the wide-body of the C4S even if it is heavier and perhaps a little less sharp/focused/whatever you want to call it . Plus, like Peter, I'd go for the cab further distancing it froma purist point of view.
