Any idea if the analog audio input is going to be ditched for a full digital one via USB? Seeing as BMW seems to be all about the iPhone I would think they would have a full digital interface.

Are you talking about the Y cable for iphone connectivity? If so, that was already changed with the Combox update (post sept 2010 builds), where you can hook up a iphone with any ordinary iphone-usb cable to play music through.
