Geneva 2011: Vision ConnectedDrive Concept

After seeing the 1M at Geneva, to our surpirse we got to see the new Vision ConnectedDrive Concept. No doubt, BMW will have a huge intro for this car at the official Press Event in Geneva tommorow. We've got some wide angle shots for you to give you an idea of the car's size and styling. Tomorrow will bring interior and detailed shots.

The car looks amazing in person, especially in frozen gray. It's stance, color, and finish really displays well in the show car atmosphere, and no doubt this car will be a hit at Geneva. And to that extent, BMW has really put alot of effort into this car, they have setup a very large stand area for the car, with the car sitting on a rotating stand and truly massive LCD displays in the background. You can see this stand a mile away!

Stay tuned for the start of the press days at the show tommorow where we will be putting up alot more photos!

why is BMW trying to bring back chrome wheels?

It may be wishful thinking, but I think I see some of those design elements in the 1M. Specifically the front air curtain via the vertical opening ahead of the front wheels. And the LED tail light bars. Obviously, both are more tamed in production versions of current cars.
