np, best thing to use is just auto soap and water. When dry use that chemical brothers product that I linked a few posts ago. It works well and was designed for matte finishes. It kind of conditions the matte surface but doesn't leave a shiny or oily residue.

I would say matte black is the way to go! I am also doing a blacked out theme on my car, I am adding a ton of matte black accents to my jet black 335. It really stands out from the crowd and I have gotten a ton of complements on the color combination, here is my car (kind of an older picture I have the amber reflectors on the front in matte black and the side marker are tinted now)

I had matte before, and I'm done with it. Looks nice when it's clean, then looks terrible after a week. And they suck for taking pictures, most of the time the car looks like it has no rims. Black just hides too many lines.
I rock anthracite colored rims now and love the look. I, however, will change things up in a bit and probably go with regular gunmetal. It's a proven combo, especially on colors like Sparkling Graphite or Space Grey. Old car, matte: ![]() Old car, anthracite: ![]() |
