^Turbo'd cars run significantly hotter than N/A cars.

Yes, pulling over and/or driving in stop and go traffic would cause the temperature to go up as there is no air helping it to cool down. When you are just cruising on the highway with no traffic, that's when it would go down by about 10-20 degrees.

Yeah mine runs 220-240 too...

MT with 70 miles...that's a bit on the hot side, weather was 45 degrees..

My M3 never saw 200 unless i'm tracking it...


But turbo'ed cars run a lot hotter than N/A car, as long as their parts are built for it, you should be fine...

I just found this. I was at the dealer today helping prep my car up (I have a sedan), and I noticed this in the passenger fenderwell.





Apparently the sedans are coming with oil coolers now? I thought only the manual coupes had them? Or is it all the manual cars, regardless of sedan or coupe have them, whilst the autos don't?

Thats is a great picture man, thanks for posting it. I was wondering what it looked like and if it was flush or stuck out in the well. I have one more favor to ask you can you give the dimensions of that cooler? L X W, I would assume if the dealer retro fits that cooler on my car it must come with a new plastic well liner with that square cut out in it. I say that because that cooler looks quite a bit bigger than the brake duct hole in my well which is about 3in x 3in.

AFAIK, all manual cars have it, regardless of options. Every single manual I have seen, sport or not, has had the cooler.

sure thing. The fender liners might be different (I will take a look at a loaner auto E90 335 to check), but I would assume to cut costs, all the fender liners would have the square cut out in them, and the autos would just have a cover to bolt to the hole (I didnt take a good look at it but I saw two 8mm screws holding it on), while the manuals get the slotted one as seen. Next time Im under my car I will pull it down and take some numbers.
