My e90 boarded the vessel "Franconia" heading to Charleston.
Is there anyone else "on the same boat" ?
It will be nice to share actual delivery times.
I am in the Chicago area and I am supposed to take delivery
on October 12.

It just left today and it is supposed to be ready to be picked up Oct 12?
That is fast.
Mine left Sept 19th and won't arrive at port until Oct 5th.
I don't know how long after that date I will be able to pick it up though.

I was suprise too. I found out that the transit time varies a lot (from 12 to > 24 days) depending on how many stops. Mine goes direct
from Bremerhaven to Charleston. It is schedule to arrive on Oct. 10.
More suprising is the 2 days from the port to my dealer.
This is, according to my dealer, the typical time ...

2 days from charleston to chicago ceems rather unrealistic to me ??

Hi - My dealer told me today that i'm on the same ship....OC or the 800 number hasn't changed yet though.

Same for me. Franconia is leaving today so probably it takes few
days for the update.

On the Port of Charleston arrival shows as arriving on Oct. 10.

Had to register again and all my postings are gone. Dealer said eta for our cars is tomorrow 10/13 for the VPC. Any idea how long there and then to get to a dealer in Chicago?

The dealer e-mailed me this:
Estimated Actual
Arrive At VPC: 10/11/05 10/11/05
Ship from VPC: 10/13/05
Dealer Delivery: 10/15/05

The "actual" means the car already checked in the VPC
800 and web site are always a few days off,

I spoke to my CA and he seems to think that it will be the 20th for me. I didn't have him check the status on the computer though. Hoping that mine will be saturday, but I expect to pick it up mid next week

mine went into "in transit" ~ Sept 30 (2 days after Franconia
departure from Bremerhaven). Also during production has been
consistently off by 2-3 days.
Now it is still "en route to the processing center".
