Reassign Steering Wheel Buttons - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Is it possible to reassign the worthless air recirculate and change source buttons on the steering wheel? I would love to have the star/diamond shortcut buttons on my 2011.

Damn they changed that in the newer models? In my iDrive there's a section dedicated to those buttons. I have my lower one set for radio mute and the top one for turning the screen off. Sucks if you can't change them on the newer year models.

It does suck if you don't can't customize them. The ones they give you now (recirc and next audio source) are worthless to me since I was spoiled by being able to customize them myself.

I really hope the answer to the OP's question is "yes".
