Car is in the shop

So my 335 is in for Injectors/HPFP & possibly turbo replacement.

99% sure all 6 injectors will be replaced and Murray was confident that I'm getting a new fuel pump.

As for the turbos, I have been experiencing the weird siren sound like others. The regional tech is in town tomorrow and they are looking at my car. We will see what happens, I'm not terribly confident I'll get replacement but wanted to get their final word on the situation.

I'll keep everyone posted if interested.

Mine got a new HPFP and injectors today (recall). Not sure how many injectors, will find out when I pick it up.

One plus to being out of warranty, no need to remove any mods, all I did was set Procede to Map 0.

Mine was in today as well for oil change and got the injectors done as a recall. I ended up with only 2 of them replaced though. All of them had the same part # but only 2 got replaced. I may call back tomorrow and ask why this was if I cant search and find it tomorrow.

Matt, I havent had a problem with anything HPFP related since software and new HPFP went in. Car seems to run just fine now. I would say that after the injector replacement/calibration that they did, it idles smoother?

Good luck though, keep us updated for sure. Whats your loaner?

Im kind of confused why I only had 2 done. All 6 had the same part # according to the workorder. I posted a question in the FI forum if any one knows.

Again, hope they replace those things for you. Do they know your car had been modded before? I would just tell them, hey, lets go sit in another 335 and see if makes that noise...and then another, and another, if those dont make the noise and mine does, then I would guess its not normal and something needs to be replaced, right?

Probably some type of tolerance spec the other four were ok meeting. A voltage reading perhaps?

Apparently they scan them to check if they fall within a certain part number range.

No injectors for me, but did get an HPFP.

Got my 09 recall done at Schomp last week. HPFP, reprogram, & 3 of 6 injectors replaced. Work order implies they removed all 6 injectors, check PN's, scan/test each, then replace only those that don't meet spec. Also replace "decoupling element" on all 6, but "gasket ring" on only 3.

you've been the only one going through it Sid. Most of us have only been in there for the recalls. You had a lemon!

yeah, Hoai is right... my car has been perfect. No issues whatsoever. This dealer visit is only to take on work specified by BMW, not due to any failures.

That is just what they want you guys to think! The government is putting contaminants in the gas pumps in areas of the country that have a high volume of nice cars. They are doing this so that people with money have to buy new cars and therefore, help stimulate the economy. Its all a big conspiracy set into motion by "the man"! Dont you watch your youtube news man!
