***2011 Euro Philly Cheesesteak Run - Saturday, May 7, 2011***
Calendar: USA - Mid-Atlantic
Tonk
First Lieutenant

Last year was the first "annual" Euro Cheesesteak Run and we had around 100 cars even though it was one of the hottest days of the summer. That's why for this year we planned it for May 7, 2011 so it will be a tad cooler. We're keeping it "Euro" related just to keep it from getting too large. If you have friends that have nice cars, we're certainly not excluding anyone, just try not to spam it around on every car forum on the internet. If you post this on any other forums, please post the link here so I can update the list.

2011 Euro Philly Cheesesteak Run
Saturday, May 7, 2011

Rain Date: Saturday, May 28, 2011

9:00 am Meet in Rockville at Mid-Pike Plaza, Toys R Us parking lot
11802 Rockville Pike
North Bethesda, MD 20852

Leaving around 10:00 am. It takes approximately three hours to get to Philly from here.

11:15 am - Arrive at Maryland House rest stop to regroup and use the restrooms.

1:00 pm arrive at Tony Luke's Cheesesteaks
39 East Oregon Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19148

FACEBOOK EVENT

Costs - $11 in tolls from Rockville, $6 in tolls back. A Cheesesteak is around $7 plus drinks. They also have other sandwiches, fries, mozzerella sticks, etc.

If you live in the PA, NJ, DE, NY etc area and don't want to join the cruise (or want to set up your own), just meet at Tony Luke's around 1:00 pm.

Website: http://www.tonylukes.com.

Parking - the best place to park is next to the Tony Lukes restaurant, under I-95. There are at least a few hundred parking spaces so parking will not be an issue. There is also a small parking lot across the street for about 20 cars.

Eating - Across the street from the restaurant is the "steak shop" and that's where I recommend you get your food. There will be quite a line but it will be worth the wait. The restaurant has limited seating and will fill up quick with all the people that are coming.
RSVP'd Yes: 15 RSVP'd Maybe: 9 RSVP'd No: 5
RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed.

***Harford/Baltimore Counties***

Great idea to regroup at the Maryland house. It will give those of us from Harford/Baltimore Counties to hook up with the group. So those of us from up in the Northeast section, let's sign up and we can coordinate as the time gets closer to go.
Tonk, as this comes to light, we can talk to get the 2 groups together at the I-95 Maryland House.
It's not a good Cheese Steak unless the grease is running off your elbows as you eat it.

I feel your pain sniz. My childhood friend just asked me to be the best man at his wedding in the sticks of Iowa in November. That plus 5 weddings... Yea not going to all of them.

That being said, I'm down for this. I'm opting to be in the middle of the pack. The skyline drive was fun, but the law and I were too close for comfort.

No, not an escort, that would put him behind me. I'll be blocking for the Win. They would need to go thru me to get to utfenix335i.

Lol there's no way you can move the NCC golf outing to the following week or week before? I've been to the past 2 and have always had a great time, but I def had a lot of fun on the Philly Cheese Steak run as well!!!

I already had to move the date once and now there are no more dates to choose from. Tough choice!!
