Tweeter Level Adjustment
1. First question, I recently installed a front component system and my crossovers have a tweeter level adjustment. My options are 0dB, -2dB, and -4dB. Personally I love high treble/voice/high's, so which setting should I set it on?
2. Second question, the tweeter level adjustment is actually a jumper inside the crossover. So I'm not sure where to put the jumper on the setting that I would like. If the jumper is on 0, what setting is it on (-2 or -4). If the jumper is on -2, what setting is it on (0 or -4), etc, you get the point. Thanks! |

If you want the highs louder, try it on 0db (i.e. no attenuation). I would think that putting the jumper on 0, it would be 0, -2 would be -2, -4 would be -4...?
Regardless, you should try it on different settings - that's the only way you're going to know which one you like best. |

It is 100% your opinion on what setting to use. It has this 'feature' so that you can position the tweeter in different locations in relation to the mid bass woofer. On the E90 the tweeter is located closer to the listener than the mid bass woofer so it would make sense to start with a quieter setting. Since -2 is the middle option, you should probably start there.
If the jumper is on 0 then it is set for 0. If the jumper is on -2 it is set for -2. If the jumper is on -4 it is set for -4. The jumper simply makes a connection or short to tell the system what to use. |
