Gunbroker seems to have more slection on more items; therefore, it does seem to cost a little more. Before buying my DDM4V1, Gunsamerica only had three rifles and none were V1. Gunbroker had several. Again it depends on what you are looking for. You are going to pay more for an AR now no matter the site.

no doubt! AR prices are through the roof. local gun shop has magpul PMags for $35 each, 3 per person.

Having some trouble disassembling my stock rail. I bought a Troy 10" free float rail so this one needs to come off. I made a diagram to better explain my current problem.

1. Is there any trick or tip on removing the delta ring without having to buy the special tool?

2. How does that little front clamp/rail detach itself from the barrel? I already removed both allen screws and the little pin inside which holds the sling hook on. Obviously I can't remove the muzzle brake and prying it off doesn't seem to be an option, either.

I'd rather not have to pay my LGS to do the install so I appreciate any feedback, guys.

you pull down on the circular ring towards the mag and you can remove the stock rail

I just did this to put on a Magpul MOE handguard. It is very tough to do by yourself without a tool because you have to hold the delta ring down and use some force to pull the handguard off at the same time. I had my wife pull the bottom handguard piece off while I was holding the delta ring down. It came off quickly that way.

You will probably need a tool. Look online for armorer's tools. There will be a special wrench that you use to spin off the delta ring

Tool ordered. I love amazon one day shipping.

Now what about that small clamp that sits in front of the hand guard?

Haha thanks guys!!

I don't mind at all. Too much lol. I paid a little over $2k for it on Gunbroker. Thought it was all mine for much less than that but someone swooped in at the last minute and started a bidding war with me. I was determined not to be outbid.

I am very impressed with the quality of the upper. I mean, the quality of my other DD carbines (a V3 and a V1) is top notch too but this seems to even be a cut above. Very light, very short.

I'll take some pics of everything I have acquired for the build up to this point (Vltor IMod in FDE; Blue Force Gear Padded VCAS sling; Surefire X300; BCM pistol grip; BCM Gunfighter charging handle) and post them up later tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Still planning on picking up a 9mm carbine buffer (this has been recommended to me as the optimal buffer for a 10.3" setup); a Colt 6940 virgin lower (in order to utilize the weapon as an AR pistol until I get my NFA paperwork done); and an Aimpoint PRO or EOTech XPS2.

That is a nice upper! I love my DD upper! I was sad yesterday, because I shot my last 100 rounds of .223. I cannot find ammo for my AR15 anywhere! Walmart soldout, LGS soldout, and the range sold out. I was talking to the guys at the LGS and range and they both said their distributors are backlogged. They have orders placed that are 20 days old and still haven't shipped. Is it the demand that is causing the shortage or is it something else?

Yes, but atleast the criminals in your country don't have any assault rifles, and you have no crimes involving firearms
