bmwmercedesparts.com VS. getbmwparts.com/Tischer BMW

getbmwparts.com
service was great, wanted to confirm a part # because realoem was unclear. evan was quick to confirm. i ordered my parts, they were shipped within 3 days. shipping was $15, handling was $5. overall it was a good experience and i recommend them

bmwmercedesparts.com
wish i could say the same thing about them as i did about tischer. same type of site, ordering was easy peasy. i asked a question about a part and received no response for several days. i called and had the question answered over the phone. on a positive note, they take phone calls, where tischer does not. but i'd rather have an email back the same day than have to wait several days then call. another positive is their pricing is lower than tischers. i saved about 10% over the getbmwparts price and shipping is only $10. but, my gripe with these people is. i ordered on a friday @ approximately 1:30 pm. a week later (the following friday) i get an email informing me that shipping will be 10 dollars. this whole time, i see my status on all my parts as "ordered" i emailed them back and asked if it shipped that friday. they informed me that it would ship in 3 days when the parts arrived. later that afternoon (a week after i ordered) my online status changes from "Ordered" to "on order" now, almost a week later, my parts are still "on order" and nothing has shipped.

on one hand, i appreciate the lower price... however i would have gladly paid $15 dollars more to have these parts by now. communication and service levels are lower than tischer and it appears as though my order sat in an inbox for 7 days before it was even processed.

in the future, i will be ordering from tischer/getbmwparts.com... their service level is much better and faster and their pricing is fair. big ups to evan @ tischer for his excellent service.

+1 for getbmwparts

Placed an order for some BMW parts and requested a drawing of a turbo eating a baby.
Completely forgot about it and found this pleasant surprise.

Probably one of the strangest requests we've ever received - but we always try to accomodate them!

I spent the better half of a day putting that little sketch together...ok maybe not.

thanks again for your business and support guys!

It's sorta of a new thing going around if you haven't heard about it. Requesting amusing drawings etc..
It was quite a good drawing!
Very pleased to see you play along. I shall order from you guys again!
Thanks again!

Ordered some carbon fiber from Jason today. Painless as can be, though I didn't request a drawing

They're awesome, but even more so when you can do local pickup. I told Jason there was no way I'd beat the traffic and get there by COB. My car was there for service so I asked if he could just verify the VIN on the car and the VIN on the order I placed, he did, and just left my order for pickup with the car.
