325i battery replacement

Ok for those of you with 325s that had their battery changed did you fork over the cash to the stealership and change it or have someone else do it. My cars battery hasn't bin changed since I got it I have 66500 miles and it's slowly going out. I'm aware of getting the thing coded but i heard 400 just to change holly shit . So tell me what you guys do because I need to do this ASAP shed slowly dying on me each day.

I had my independent shop install and register the battery(interstate) it was much cheaper.
