e90 320i

hi, new here please any advice
recently bought 320i e90 aaaaaaaaaghhhh
had 320d coupe e46 before now i have this slow very poor mpg petrol bmw
wondering why i bought this and left the diesel
only good thing about it its white and looks fantastic.

point is, how can i improve mpg and speed??

Fit a sprint booster,will make a big differance and get rid of the flat spots.

Is the Sprint Booster anygood then riga ?
Have you had first hand experience, if so on what car, year etc ?
I have been on the UK site but cant see one listed for the p*sh poor 320i ?

Have you seen the sticky in the technical section re 320i engines?

Sprint booster will not overcome the 'flatspots' when your engine shuts down at motorway speeds!

Only cure is to sell it and buy a diesel...

Oh and in BMW magazine they did s piece on a Japanese 320i customer who supercharged his, didn't seem to be worth it IMHO .

My previous motor was a 320i SE auto, I used to use the Steptronic a lot in order to keep the revs up, where the power always seemed to be, which suggested perhaps the 320i is best suited with a manual gearbox.
It always seemed to fly at the speed limit!
On the autobahn (of course) I could be at at 105+ mph and still accelerating very nicely!
I always thought it was quite a nice engine, smooth & quite with little road noise I suppost due to the narrower tyres compared with the 320D M-Sport.
Passengers were always surprised as to how quite the car was.

Sorry for delay in getting back to you,have got the sprint booster fitted to e90 320i and you can tell the difference straight away,i have had this for some time with no problems .Well worth getting it and it is a diy fit.

whack in highest octane fuel & use the gears and your foot more you will get used to it
