Folding mirrors? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi,

I asked dealer, when quoting, to include folding mirrors. He appeared to simply pick the auto dim interior + exterior option. I know on some BMW models that gives you folding also - is that the case with e90? I thought folding mirrors were separate option you had to pick.

Hi Paul

Option 430 gives you electrically foldable exterior mirrors together with the dimming function.

Option 313 gives you the folding mirrors without the dimming function.

Both options give you additional features if you have a four cylinder model.

i have 313 option,electrical folding without dimming. Not sure what the extra 4 cylinder features are though.

i wanted folding mirrors and didn't even realise they weren't auto dimming until it was too late... then i was told oh that is a seperate option

you'd have thought the stealer would have said summat...

I had exactly the same question when ordering, the dealer didn't seem too sure. As has been said, 430 gives you electrically foldable exterior mirrors together with the dimming function. This is what I ordered. From memory 313 gives you folding mirrors, no dimming but you do get additional interior lights. Thing is, the SE pack also includes the additional lighting, so those ordering an SE get this anyway. If you're ordering an SE, therefore, order option 430.

313 gives you electrically foldable exterior mirrors, automatic dipping parking function for front passenger side mirror in reverse gear. It also includes heating for exterior mirrors and washer jets for 4 cylinder cars not equipped.

430 includes the above plus additionally automatic dimming rear view mirrors and interior lights package for 4 cylinder cars not equipped.
