Talking New CSL's fitted -updated with pics of CF splitters-

See updated pics at the bottom of new CF splitters attached at the weekend!

And I got round to de-badging it too - definately made the back look alot cleaner!

Well....I had to do something to keep me occupied on a bank holiday weekend!

************************************************** **************************

So after much deliberation, I finally went ahead and bought the CSL's. Missed out on the group buy from Mark @ BMAutosport because I was waiting to buy them from a supplier over here, but no suppliers were able to get me concave rear CSL's - so I had to go back to Mark (post-group-buy) and get them sorted.
Great guy - very helpful and efficient, couldn't do enough for me.

Went for the more aggresive rear et27's in the end - took a gamble, and im glad to say it paid off - no issues with fitment/rubbing at all! Fronts are et38.

Tyre fitment 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear.

Other mods so far have been blackline tailights, M3 lip spoiler, and chrome grill, and tail-pipe fitted to the exhaust.

Have front CF splitters sitting here as well, just havent got round to fitting them yet!

I know the 19's push the ride height up a fair bit, but I refuse to lower the car given the shape of the roads around here and the number of miles I do weekly! - it just isnt worth it!

P.S. - apologies for the image size - due to a lack of knowledge/laziness I didnt get them resized..i'll know for again!..

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Very tidy mate. I like that the mods are few and subtle...looks absolutely mint. Just enough to make it stand out...

Looks very nice

IMO, black grills and a debadge would look good

Cheers Ed, all opinions welcome..!

Agree on the de-badge. would def clean up the rear a bit - just dont wanna be labelled a 330 'pretender' if you know what i mean? - if i de-badged it would be purely aesthetics and not trying to be something its not!

Im not convinced on black grills for e90 - lovely on an e92, just not for me on an e90/1 for some reason?

I went for the et35's on the same group buy. How you finding the ride quality? I think they set your car off great.

Looks good.

ET27 is fine on pre LCI E90 and E91, that is the oem offset, this is Ants 330d with oem CDL wheels on....

Did you not consider genuine CSL wheels, they are pretty good value at £1050 for a set.

Pleasantly surprised by the ride quality! - I was expecting a lot harsher ride coming from comfy 17s, but so far the 19s have been fine! Saying that, I haven't carried any passengers in the back yet! Think the SE suspension could be easing the any harshness in the 19s!

The 19s have made a great difference to your e91!..Looking great!

1) where do you get them at that price?!
2) even at that price, reps are half the cost!
3) it's my daily driver and paying that money for wheels just ain't viable for me!

That pic of the ACS car with BBS was one of the first modded e90s I seen on this site! - I couldn't get enough of it at the time! Even had it as my wallpaper on my comp at a stage I think!?lol

They are that price from the dealer, around half the price of something like the style 225 alloys.
But half that for the reps is a real bargain, they look great.

Can't believe they're that price from the dealer for the original!
Do you not need an M3/CSL chasis number to purchase OEM CSL's from the stealer? - or am I just making that up?!

Yeah you do, but not for the competition alloys which were almost the same but 1/2 narrower i think.
Have a look on realoam.com.

Lovely looking wheels op

Am I reading that right, you can order the competition alloys- as fitted to the m3- from the dealer?
Would they fit a 335i coupe?

Looks great..

The 19s won't change the ride height one jot, in fact they should make the car LOOK lower as the wheel rim is closer to the arch lip.

The rim is bigger but the tyre profile is equally slimmer, so the overall rolling diameter is near enough indentical, this has to happen else your speedo etc will all be out.
