Yes, it beats the pants off the Saab 1.9TiD even with the Hirsh upgrade... remember!

How've you been?

Love the car

Yes I do remember. And I guess you got bored of the Saab too? I certainly got bored of the forum. Surely with the remap yours held your interest a little bit?

Just got cold feet with the whole depreciation/Saab buyout thing and wanted back in a BMW. The Saab was a blip in 10 years with the blue roundel...

Yeah 175hp was grand but front tyres went quickly..!

Another pic after a good four hours detail.

I think the Wekstat really brings out the metallic flake.

I should also say that this car (the real one) continues to astound me. It's in a different league to anything I've driven before. My Audi was supposed to be a quality motor but the BMW is something else. I've been spoilt now

The dealer threw this one in which I thought was very nice of them. It's a little small for my 3 year old but with another due any moment I'm sure it will come in handy.

Sounds good - how much are the grills? Is there much of a wait for them? Make sure and get some good before and afters for us potential modders! And congrats on the imminent news!

Usually £32 plus VAT each but I'm not paying the VAT. And hopefully a picture later.

I really am quite surprised at the relative good value that BMW accessories seem to be retailing at. I'm coming from a veedub background where the prices are eye watering for gearknobs other interior pieces - the bmw ebay site shows some pretty good prices for the little items that make an interior look better. Of course there are some mental high price parts aswell but in the main I expected BMW to be two or three times more expensive than VW.

I've now got the grilles on. The pictures aren't that good and the car is dirty but let me know what you think. I'm undecided.

Garage List
2009 335i  [0.00]
I fitted black grills to my LMB coupe and decided they didn't do it for me, ended up going back to chrome.

The car always looked like something was missing to me.

I agree. I think that's a fantastic looking car but I'd prefer the chrome grilles too - just gives it the edge.

I've got Gloss black grills on my le Mans blue E90 and I love the look of the front end now, it matches the gloss black trim around the windows now as well. The chrome seems a little out of place on the M-Sport models.

I'll give it a little while. From some angles I think it looks great, others it looks as creepy coupe says 'something missing'.

I was thinking it would go with the other gloss trim too but I think it gets a bit lost if that makes sense.

Anyhoo, we'll see.

I like em. Think if you had the normal M Sport with the lighter coloured alloys then the silver grills would fit right in. As it is with the darker smoked alloys and all the black gloss trim round the windows then the black gloss grill looks spot on. Thanks for the pics!

I keep thinking of black grilles for mine but sometimes I like the look and other times I don't, it's a strange one.

Hey Rich!

Beautiful car but if I'm honest not too sure about the grills. I've had a good few looks now since you put the picture on. I can't quite put my fingers on it, I don't know if, like has already been said, there's something missing or if it's because they are gloss but the lower plastic's matt. Think the chrome might just be the way to go on the Le Mans. Just an opinion and sometimes pictures don't do the real thing justice!

Still the shizzle though

Yep. I thought that too. Also I think it's something to do with the radiator being so noticeable.

That said, I sort of forgot about it today and there were a couple of times walking back to the car when I thought it looked quite splendid!

A mate said it made my car look more 'evil' which I guess is good. If the weather is fine tomorrow and still no baby (11 days overdue!) I'll give it clean and try for some better distance shots. I think it's close ups that don't do it any favours.

Fantastic looking car. They really look the business. Can't wait for mine to arrive now. If you get chance to post more pics please do. Need some to keep me going for the next 12 weeks!

Good luck with the wee one.
