Anyone know if you would need to roll 'fenders' aka wheel arches on an E92?

i know this thread has been lifeless for a year now, but i know for a fact that of you run a different tire manufacturer with the same size as the OP, you will have less/more issues with a minor rub in the rear.

I know I may be bumping up an old thread but man I love your setup. Those 40 profile tires in the rear look beefy as hell!

Bumping an old thread up but when you initially threw on the rear wheels did you have any rubbing just driving by yourself?

Sorry so late man, I no longer have the car so I don't go on here as much. Yes by driving myself I did have rubbing only when hitting dips on the road. Its the stock Michelin tires that they came with which caused all the rubbing (obviously lol). Just go with a slightly lower profile tire and your good,.

For shaved rear folks I am running 10mm in the back with 265/35/18, without the spacer I can do 275, but I do rub at different angles and bumps. But if you have a good shave, it is sweeeeeeet.

Anyone in NorCal looking for this set? I wanna go with a different color wheel now.

here is my setup with NO rubbing:
  • Continental ExtremeContact DW 235/40R18, 265/35R18
  • No fender roll

with 5mm spacers in the rear, i have rubbing on small dips without a fender roll. i'm going to roll the rear fenders this spring as well as putting the spacers back on. more photos in my build thread.

i love the use of the m fitment tires. A nice meaty rear tire gets the job done. I wish from factory they had gone with the same height tires front and back...I still don't get why they went with vertical staggering...not a fan.
