Post for Carboned Valve photos
These carbon posts are really generating a ton of questions. I thought we could start a post with just photos of your intake valves for reference. Hopefully we could build up a good cross section of miles, mods, etc.
I'll start: Car: 08 135i (N54) Miles: 44K Mods: None Misc: Photos are immediately after a BG carbon cleaning service. Never cleaned before. |

Here is mine and I believe that mine look good compared to others.
The secret in the better looking valves will be the catch can and the meth. 95k miles Mr. 5 catch can installed at about 20k miles. Meth installed once I hit around 60k miles. Mods: Everything that can be done BTW, I deleted the other posts so we can compare the pictures easily (since that was the point of this thread).
