2007 iDrive MP3 limit
I've been using a 160GB Samsung 1.8" harddisk with my 2007 E92 armrest USB (6FL) for quite a while with success. For that disk, I prepared a special mirror of my music library with no embedded coverart and no JPEGs on the disk.
As my MP3 collection hit 18,000 songs, I swapped out the 160GB Samsung for a 250GB and just copied over the normal library (i.e. I did not delete the album art tags and files). Now I notice more sluggish response and sometimes the audio just hangs for a few minutes. Any ideas whether this is because 18,000 songs is too much, or is it likely just barfing at my album art again? |
