Windshield sunshade for my e90

Last year I painfully experienced that my black on black e90 gets really hot in the summer. Can anybody tell me where to get the best bang for the buck oem/non-oem windshield sunshade? I think I want to buy one to keep my car at least somewhat cooler this summer. Thanks

wal-mart or any auto parts store, honestly the regular ones work just fine for keeping the sun out

I ordered a custom fitted one. It was reasonably priced and works great, no gaps and rolls up nicely.

These heat shields look like a contender. Custom fitted and only about half the price of the OEM part. Anybody else have any experience with these?

my only beef with the sunshade, and i do use it... is that if the car is parked over night, the alarm LED is blocked

ive been using my sunshade but leaning it back onto the dash. i use the two round discs that twist to fold up...

The "oem" one is hard cardboard and a pain to fold/use/store - I prefer the roll-up variety.

Walmart has some good sunshades priced under 10 bucks. I have 4 of them.

I got me the flexible kind where you can fold and twist it into a small circle from walmart and it fits the window perfectly without using the sun visor. It also folds up nicely and tucks between the seat and ebrake.

I've found that those tend to sag after a while.

I've got the kind that blingman has. it's in a wire frame that you can twist and it collapses into a 8" or 10" circle which can be easily placed under the seat or in the magazine pocket behind the passenger seat.

got it at autozone for pretty cheap.

I like my OEM one. It's quite easy to fold, takes about 5 seconds if you have motor skills beyond those of an intoxicated toddler.

I had a covercraft UVS100 for my Audi, which I believe is the maker of the BMW OEM ones. Great fit, easy to fold and no worrying about it unrolling.

Used these in lots of my cars. Works well, and don't mind paying for it. Versus the Walmart style ones, these are a bit better in terms of heat reduction (but not an incredible amount), and the fit is of course much better.

OEM fits like a glove, rejects heat well, and is well built. Mine is 5 years old, used every day, and still looks great. No fraying, stitching holding up well. If I could, I'd prefer it didn't say BMW in big letters (I mean, come on), but otherwise, I'm very pleased with it.

I used others, but the OEM one is the best one.

Get one of the foil type ones at Walmart or Auto zone for $5. They work great.
