Numbers aside, simply looking at the curve. I though 4th in an auto tops out at like 132 or something like that. So he is holding peak power to almost 7k on a stock tune and downpipe?

I think he may have dynoed in 5th gear and just let off early because theres no real point in trying to make more power past 6000 rpm.

You shouldn't doubt it. It's true. In 5th gear, 6500rpm is approx 130mph. Depending on tiresize and tread depth of course. 6500rpm is also the highest the DME will let you rev on the dyno in 5th gear. It throws a roadspeed code and closes the throttle which you can clearly see in the 1st dyno graph.

So yes, the OP dyno'd in 5th gear, up to 6500rpm. QED. Numbers look normal.

I still call bs. Do a real comparison operating the car properly. There's no way you get 20 whp from a downpipe on stock tune. Higher boost, sure but not at 8-9psi...

Nice numbers! Just out of curiosity what issues did you have with your V-Clamp? I couldn't get mine to close enough to get the bolt in, without quite a bit of pressure, so I thought I was doing it wrong.

Also are you getting codes without a tune? I would love it if I didn't have to take my dp out for services.

Those are really nice gains from a downpipe only (and I have no reason not to trust the dyno graphs - it would have been nice if the RPM was present though). I felt similar gains when I removed my primary cats and was stock with BMW Power Kit only.

What amazes me is that there are downpipe manufactures who can't make dynos of stock versus stock + the stuff they sell. They don't know what they are doing until someone on the forum tests it for them. It's just lame. You can't say "looks like the design works" after you begin selling your stuff...

Just don't like apples and oranges compared displayed as apples and apples. Keep the same gear and put rpm on the x-axis. Dyno 101.
5th is higher load so boost will be higher skewing any gains from the dp.

Cuz they're bullshit. 20whp gain on stock tune from dp only is a joke. Then to find out that the stock run was in 4th, while the dp run was 5th (higher load, more boost) us ridiculous. This plus plotting vs. mph makes comparing any power gains impossible and begs the integrity question.

Thanks for your comments everyone i'm very happy with how everything turned out.

As for how it was dynoed and how the numbers were obtain i honestly have no reason to fudge the numbers. I took my car got it dynoed and those are the numbers

I am getting a code but I might try a CEL fix or a spark plug defouler spacer to see if that fixes it.
