My M Sport...

I thought I would add a few photos of my car... specs in sig.

I just put on the Type 313 Performance wheels wrapped in Bridgestone rubber. Very minor 10mm drop added as I don't want scraping on road bumps/sleeping policemen/etc.

Enjoy

Paintwork looks top notch and the wheels go well with that colour

Thanks for the responses

briers - colour is Space Grey (I suspect replacement for Graphite on E9x and Silver Grey on E46).

I have had a few brand BMWs in the past:
E70 X5 XDrive 35D MSport (fully loaded)
E46 M3 Coupe (fully loaded)
E46 330Ci Sport Coupe (all 4 were high spec)
E46 325Ci SE (many MSport options when the MSport was unavailable)
E46 328Ci SE (my first BMW)
A range of new VW Golf GTi MK4 Turbos (fully loaded)

...and no, I had not written them off! In fact I have never had an accident and I am picky about scratches - had to send a new car back and re-ordered a new one as the dealer managed to scratch one of my E46 330Ci Sport Coupe's Naturally I checked the VIN and used a colour depth meter to ensure the new one was in fact new

Happy to address any questions.

That's embarrassing

Not only do i also have a space grey 335d, it also says space grey under your name/pic.

It looks darker than mine, i like the colour a lot, must just been the light when you took the photo.

Looks great. In that light Space Gray does look very like Sparkling Graphite. Congrats on a very nicely turned out E90.

Great looking car and great spec!

I'm still unsure whether those wheels suit the saloon as much as they do the coupe. I've seen a couple of Saloons around these parts wearing those shoes and they don't look right in certain exterior colours. I think they suit your grey exterior far more than the white/black cars.

Also, "av_guy", what do you do for a living? Is there a clue in your username?

Again, thanks for the comments.

toxicnerve - I love AV and am seriously into it for the home. However, my role is far from it. I work in the London market as a Solvency II Project Manager. I used to be an Oracle Datawarehouse, Unix and C software developer for about 8 years prior to that.

mv57 - what is QD?

Vaheed1 - I like the wheels as they fill out more and are easy to clean. There aren't many E90's around where I live with these wheels, so for the moment I feel unique. I was not prepared to pay 3,300 for these wheels (they are an upgrade of circa 800 for the coupe). I had these plus a few other bits thrown in recently with another purchase and a tidy discount.

briers - I think the late afternoon gave it that shade and I don't normally take photos using my phone but thought I would give it a try - it seems to have done a reasonable job for posting online.

EZ TUR90 - the car in your sig looks great.

QLD - wow, the car in your sig looks really nice. 335D MSport E92 in Mineral or Alpine White?

I am keen to understand your thoughts on your cars and experiences of quality, build, drive, performance and things to watch out for. I understand the paint and lacquer are not what they used to be.

Very very pretty car....looks nice.

Had it mapped yet?? May I recommend some mods for it. Get the grill black, performance bmw diffuser and csl spoiler. If yours is the LCI then you must have the lush bright led rings all of us oldies don't have which means one less imperative mod.

TikoV - no mapping done as I want to keep it standard... for a while at least I was informed the car will better 6.0 secs to 62 to about 5.7 secs as BMW tend to be conservative with their brochure figures.

What sort of gains can I expect with re-mapping i.e. BHP, Torque, 0-62MPH times?

Do I run the risk of increasing my insurance premium as a result?
Would I invalidate the BMW (manufacturer and dealer) warranty?

Thanks.

Gains of up to +50bhp and 700/730nm torque to be had...by a flick of a switch

P.S The hint is in the flick of a switch to your questions btw!!

Thanks for the responses and sorry I have not been able to respond; apparently there was a big wedding in town ;-)

TikoV - the gain figures you state are very healthy.

I have just activated Connected Drive and Telematics and whatever else. The iPhone BMW app only currently allows me to lock and unlock the car which is ever so cool.

Any other little tricks I should know?
