Triad, NC Walnut Blasting?

Per title, anyone know of a shop in NC that does this? Or anyone here near the triad do walnut blasting themselves? I am looking to get this done.

Performance BMW in Chapel Hill was doing it for $400 this time last year. Don't know if their prices are still the same now.

My water pump failed last year and my vehicle was towed by BMW to Flow in W-S. While the water pump was being replaced under warranty, I negotiated a $450 walnut blasting. The tech did a thorough job, but left a mess and a sensor unplugged. When I took it back the next day, they cleaned up both the mess and the codes. Just be firm on your negotiations and clear on your expectations.

I will be sure to contact Flow and thanks for the heads up on being clear about being thorough on their work too, I want to get this done possibly before I install JB4 in the car. I knew there were some places in the RTP area that do walnut blasting but didnt really want to drive out there just for that. Thanks everyone!

Well if you are going to make the drive. Get the blasting done here, I'll help you install you jb4, swap your plugs (if you haven't yet) and flash your car all in one afternoon.

Wow, thatd be awesome! Id drive out there just for the installation, flash and plug install alone! lol. I am hoping to place an order for the jb4 next week, plugs this week (tho it shows on carfax they were replaced 15k miles ago @ 45k miles). Btw, burger tuning is out of plugs, any idea where I can get them for a good price?

PS: Order will be placed for jb4 next week assuming that replacing my rear speed sensor will make my "christmas tree lights" go away. Otherwise I will be trying to get rid of the tps, abs, dtc and brake lights.

I got my plugs off ebay. ebay search n54 plugs, there will be a set of 6 available for sale. Check the part number against the one on BMS website and make sure they are bosch and you are good to go. I have the socket already but if you want one for yourself i suggest you pick one up

Looking into buying everything for DIY to do it on my car and offering the equipment for other DIY in NC. Can't find anyone in Charlotte area yet that does this.

It can be done in Raleigh, NC. I had it done on my 2008 335xi coupe. It was definitely worth the money.

Shade Tree Garage
Independent BMW Service and Repair Facility
12401 Old Creedmoor Rd
Raleigh, NC 27613

Cost: around $450
Owner: Truett Ray
Contact: http://www.stgbmwservice.com/

They usually schedule appointments about 2-5 days out. The service is excellent. And they'll even loan you an older model BMW until the work is done later in the day.

Anyone recently have this done on a 335 diesel? Would the process be different?
