Coolant change - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

How often do I need to do this? I'm at 37,000 miles and the free maintenance will be expired in 1 week.

As BMW considers coolant to be "Lifetime" (100,000 miles or so), they will not change it under the covered maintenance.

I plan on having mine changed after 6 years as the old interval was 4 years but IIRC, BMW claims to be using better coolant. But if the thermostat fails (as was common on E46 models), then the coolant will have to be changed again - so I may wait.
