Had the trusty 335i (co. car) for 4 years so time to change. Company offered a like for like replacement, so after some thought I decided to leave the co. car scheme, take some cash instead & buy a 2nd hand M3 - which I can run for less than a new 335i

I know I can tune a 335i to be as fast & the 335d is more fuel efficient, but I thought I'd get some NA V8 M Power before the ecomentalists ruin things.

Spec:

E93 M3 (June '09)
Azurite Black
Extended Bamboo Leather
Piano Black Trim
19" Wheels
Shadowline Trim
M DCT
HDD iDrive with the connected stuff
EDC
Bluetooth
Front & Rear PDC
Heated Seats
DAB Radio
Hi-Fi Speakers (I think, how do you tell if it's logic 7 - menu options somewhere?)
USB Audio
High Beam Assist
Storage Pack
Wind Deflector
Tracker

Seemed like a good deal comp to others & he'd just dropped the price as well - possibly because the advert didn't mention: Extended Leather, Shadowline Trim, EDC, Front PDC, Heated Seats, DAB Radio, Upgraded Speakers, USB Audio, Storage Pack, Wind Deflector or the Tracker! just stuff like leather seats, cruise control, climate control, electric windows etc... it's not a dedicated BMW place though.

I spotted lots of stuff from examining the online pics (EDC button, heated seat buttons, tweeters) & saw the rest when I went to have a look.

Nice spec

, I know the logic 7 has less speakers in the 'vert compared to the coupe so you will need to check the settings menu. You will see: concert, theatre or logic 7 off, if I recall correctly.

It's great when you 'stumble' across extras you didn't realise were there. My neighbour got his TT in the exact same way (but from a main dealer). Hardly any spec noted online, which probably put off a load of potential buyers, but he spotted a button from the photo, called up and un-earthed a load of other stuff on the car. Bought it there and then (TT's were flying out like hot-cakes at the time).

The centre dashboard speaker will give away if it's logic 7 or not as others have said, the E93 loses the rear shelf speakers so 'only' has 11 speakers instead of the saloon/coupes 13.

Sounds like a lot of options have been ticked so highly likely it has the logic 7 - it will have the equaliser options in the i-drive also under the 'tone' settings.

Isn't Azurite black an individual colour?

Thanks, i'll have a look. Yup, the Azurite is £810 of individual colour! It's more of a really deep blue, with a bigger metallic flake than usual. Looks mint

The torque is down on the 335i as well, although I quite liked the fact that it's easy to drive normally & then rockets off when you give it some beans

Thanks, leather is bamboo - sort of browny beige. I wanted a change from black as I've been sat in a black leather interior for 4 years

It will make the car seem more different to current one as well.

I think the interior looks quite classy. Maybe not 100% sure on trim though - I can always get a carbon wrap or something though if I decide it's not for me after living with it for a bit

Should also display "Logic 7" in the title menu when you navigate to this screen under Tone controls. Defo a vast improvement over the standard setup.
