AW E92: 4 days of detailing, Painted VCSL Bootlid, 230s...Spring shoot time!

So a few things have been done.
1st: I painted my V-CSL CF Bootlid (oh noes, exposed CF is gone!). I'm a huge fan of how much cleaner the car looks after painting the previously exposed CF on the lip and the license plate surround.
2nd: I did the most extensive, involved exterior detailing I've ever done in my life. The work was broken up over the course of 4 days. This was mainly focused around the C-quartz nanocoating, which I was trying out for the first time, and is one big heap 'o awesome. Given the amount of prep I put in before laying it down, and the amount of protection that I have layered on top of it, it should definitely go the distance. Stage-by stage on the entire detail process is at the bottom.

PICS....

Body:
(Pre-Polish)
Wash (Gilmour Foam Gun, DP Xtreme Foam wash)
IPA Wipedown
Meguiars Super Degreaser@Wheelwells&Engine Bay, scrubbed in
Optimum No Rinse 3:1 dilution for dressing for the wheelwells&engine bay
Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay/Meguiar's Last Touch Quick Detailer
(Polish)
Meguiars 105/Cobra CG Orange Pad/Flex@6
Meguiars 205/Cobra CG White Pad/Flex@6
Menzerna PO85RD/Cobra CG Red/Makita@1200rpm
(Post-polish)
Carpro IronX Spray Wipedown
IPA Wipedown
C-quartz Nanocoating, 25 min cure/wipe, 24h total cure time
Menzerna Powerlock Sealant
Dodo Juice Diamond White hard wax, 24h cure
Dodo Juice Light Fantastic soft wax, 24h cure

Wheels, Plastic, Glass:
Wash (Gilmour Foam Gun, DP Xtreme Foam wash)
Meguiar's Wheel Brightener@10:1 (Wheels only)
Carpro IronX Spray Wipedown
Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay/Meguiar's Last Touch Quick Detailer (yes, the wheels got clayed)
Meguiars 105/Cobra CG Orange Pad/Flex@6 (not for the wheels)
Meguiars 205/Cobra CG White Pad/Flex@6 (not for the wheels)
IPA Wipedown
Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, 3 coats, average 18h cure time between coats

I REALLY wanted to use the Cquartz on the wheels, but I ran out of Cquartz. I do have a feeling that after this application that I will figure out how to use it more efficiently, and will possibly have enough left for wheels. Which, given the way this stuff works, should work wonders on the horrific brake dust that we contend with on our cars.

super clean ride! I still have to wait for the weather to be a bit more warmer and less rainy to start my detailing...

Very impressive, should post it up in detailing thread ..............230 wheels are the best factory rims by far.
