Question: Leatherette or cloth? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi everyone,

I am going to place an order for a new E90. I would like to know your opinions about which one is better, leatherette or cloth? I cannot afford leather. I heard that leatherette gets hot and it is plastic so the feeling that you sit on plastic is not good. But does cloth look bad?

BMW usually has great cloth seats and I wish they were available in the U.S. Have you tried them at a dealership?

Unfortunately the showroom had only cars with leather but i also heard the quality is v. good ... I m thinking of ordering cloth and maybe after some years changing to leather ...
