My first new car (:

I am so excited because later on this day I am going to pass by my local BMW dealer to finally order my 328i Coupe. I decided on Alpine White, Saddle Brown, and Light Poplar. Premium Package, Comfort Access, Sound System, and a few other things. I am so excited, pretty good for a guy who is turning 18 next month (: I love my grandfather!

Great, that makes me feel so much better (: I was a bit confused about what combo to go with but I think I made a good decision. Either ways its a beautiful car in any color. I think my combination looks really Miami, LOL!

Thats a great and trusting grand parent. What does your parents have to say. ...Funny if it's better than their car.

My parents think it is a nice and very reliable car. They wanted me to get something that I would not get tired of, before choosing this car I had been dying for a Mini Cooper. When I get my car it is actually going to be the best in my family. My grandparents have a new Toyota Avalon, my mom has a Ford FreeStar from '05, and my uncle just leased a 328i sedan. I am so special (;

Im going to the dealer today so that I can see, but I called in on Thursday and they told me that they didn't have any and that it would be "hard" to find it the way I want without ordering it.

That's BS--my first E92 was totalled a few weeks ago, so my dealer did a search in the mid-west region--there were 9 cars that were almost identical to the one I ordered back in August. The one I happened to pick was on a boat (due here in about 10 days) but I could have gotten one of the others much sooner.

The dealers can do something called a "dealer trade" where you get the car that is sitting on the lot now, and in return they get a future car or one off the lot from the dealer where you are buying.

Hell--you can even do what I did--if a car is on a boat and is NOT SOLD--ie it is going to be a lot car somewhere--your dealer can change the status of the car before it gets to port, mark it as SOLD (to you) and then the car will head to YOUR dealer instead of wherever else it was supposed to go.

There are quicker options than ordering--I would only order at this point if I absolutley had to. When the E92 first came out, it was a necessity--but now there should be enough around to cut your wait time down significantly.
