Dropped it on Eibachs....but not convinced (with pics now)

I got some Eibachs fitted yesterday and when looking at it, the drop is if anything is hardly noticeable. In the m3, the drop was lot more and it sat aggressive but in the 35d mmmmmm :-( Now I know that springs settle after a few hundred miles... but still.

Front Drop

Rear Drop

You were right...even the guy fitting it say H&R's.

I'll try them for a while and if it still persists to annoy me then I'll get them changed over

What did you fit Pro or Sport lines? Pro's dont offer a great drop but offer an improved rate. The sportlines drop more but I think as the dampers are not matched they will be bouncy and shag them in no time.

It's the pro-line kit mate...

Tiko I've got the pro kit fitted to my E90 and at first didn't think that it had dropped that much but once it settled down and the springs worked in it sits much lower and looks great

No wonder your not happy, from the 2 pics you have now posted it looks just the same as M-Sports to me. Have you got a pic side on so we can see the whole cars stance?

Never mind the drop, you should be ashamed at the state of your wheels

Ed and Kev.....if you thought the wheels were bad, I'd hate to show you the rest of the car.

Besides our weather has been atrocious...car gets dirty within miles of driving.

I don't think he was right, and personally I think you've made the best choice.
I had the H&R springs on my last E92, yes the drop looked great, and if looks are your No 1 priority then change to H&R's.

If your after a balance of looks, ride comfort and you don't want to constantly worry about bottoming out on speed bumps, road imperfections etc, than stick with what you have.

PS. Get some decent lockers on your wheels, the BMW ones are woefully inadequate

Looks good IMO - they will settle some more over the next couple of weeks too.

They will be fine.

Your getting too hung on on actual mm gap!

Take a pic from further back and i'm sure it looks great and very noticable.

Those wheels fill the arches very nicely.

After looking at it again and again, I'm actually getting use to the way it sits. Think handling supersedes the drop...which is a fair compromise.

I paid 100 to get fitted which included tracking.

You swapped tired and sagged oem for something new and firmwer, and lower by 10-15mm.

So there won't be a lot of difference.

After these sag a little (can bu up to 10mm) then it will look better.

And taking a shot of the back arch is not the best idea, as the Eibach kit lowers the front more than the rear

Where did you get it done Tiko? Looking to get mine done in the next few months and that seems a good price.

I got it done at Kenny Browns in Hillington. This guy really knows how to set up a car well, was watching him and his attention is second to none.

EDIT: I just read the post where I stated it was 100....should be 190. Apologies...

Hi Edmund

The ride is so much better now. Maybe also due to the fact that I don't use RFT's anymore..Car handling is vastly improved and the steering wheel is centred perfectly.
