As a big fan of both, I'm not going to vote. Absolutely hate debates of people justifying how either is 'better' than the other. If you're absolutely convinced one is 'better', you're a moron.

Here are a few videos:

The last song you posted ^^ is one of my favorites. I never said (in this thread, at least ) that one is better than the other, just who I prefer

what year is it?

I wonder how many of our younger members have no idea who these guys are, and why anyone would compare the two

Biggie. Disregarding their levels of cultural impact and focusing on merely their music, I much prefer Big's style. I can listen to him anytime. I have to be in a certain mood to listen to the 'Pacman.

surprised no one has mentioned p.didley. He was like Biggie's sidekick, towards the end of his career/life.

Diddy just rode Biggies wave of fame, and used him to get to the top but was smart enough to stay at the top as a businessman, well below average rapper imo.

This is a tough one for me, both were equally talented in their own unique way

To me, both Tupac and Biggie, represented a very dark and negative, gangster rap approach to the genre. They glamorized all that late 90's pointless violence. No surprise that the game changed once they were both "knocked off", -no pun intended. Glamor rap took over, and it was all about cash money, bitches, ho's and how you got out da hood. Today, were're awash with dance music, or dance-rap, which is so much more refreshing than all of that negativity. Tupac, Biggie, you were each cool, but I don't miss you guys.
