Can I lower only the front of my E92?

Just purchased an 08 335xi coupe, and the front looks like its on stilts, but the rear is just fine! why why why

I read about changing the perches but that only provides for a 1/4 - 1/2" drop according to their specs.

I dont want to loose any ride quality, even tho I read the H&R sport springs are a great balance of performance and comfort. I just came from a really stiff mini cooper S JCW and im sick of how the pot holes and bumps felt, the bimmer is firm but really smooth and dont wanna loose that.

Suggestions?

btw im on 19" sport rims from the dealer with thin rubber

Perches don't work on an xi....but there is a 1/4" reinforcement plate in between the strut hat and the strut tower you can remove.

It's the same diameter as the strut mount so I don't see it reinforcing anything but the strut mount after the tower has mushroomed.

thanks *********

I brought this issue to my local import shop that specializes in BMW and Mercedes, and is a Dinan dealer. They agree with you in regards to the perches, but go on to mention that the xi in particular is very sensitive to adjustments, and to keep things in proper order he would only install a full set of springs, and nothing else.

I understand this more now and agree. I wouldn't mess up the geometry over a 1/4. Looks like I'm gonna go with Eibach's.

He did quote me $500 to install tho! Steep no?

Ouch, for just springs? Are xi's more complicated?

I have the Supreme Power perches on my rwd 335....sport suspension....19" and 18" wheels and the drop is more close to a 1/2 inch I would say.....made a hiuge difference, and car handles exactly the same......I dont know how the perches would help on an xi...shit rides crazy high, but im happy with mine!!!
