looking at this thread which started back in 2011, Did the kit did not sell?

May possibly be interested but I am just looking to upgrade the door speakers and add an amp as I have upgraded to the logic 7 subs

What was your original HU - is it the base/logic7/HiFi?
As I am a bit curious as to whether if you had any issues if you just added an amp to the base stereo. As the signal is heavily EQ'ed did you have any problems?

What type of subs are they? How come they were replaced?
Sorry for asking loads of questions as I am looking to upgrade but still a newbie so researching various avenues

Hi

To be honest it was kinda my bad on that part - I was expecting new subs any day but kept getting held up up until last week i got them! So now I can sell the kit with all the pieces available.

They blew as I over powered them in a bass event (which I won in my class! 129.9 bassrace I believe it was and loudest 2 sub car in that class too)

My head unit is the I drive unit. The only problem I had was a while coming through the speakers consistant with the revs. It may be alt while, it may be something else I gave up looking. Many people have this issue and it is NOT related to the kit. I have swapped amps/speakers/cabling and it is still there. Its my luck lol or something in my car. Perhaps a line driver or ground loop isolater will stop it but it wasn't noticable unless the system was off and driving at a high rev. - I'll be honest and I've said it all before.

Subs are the audio system subs specific for the BMW. New version for this year apparantly. Never used! still in plastic wrap.

any questions please ask!

and no problem if you want to come have a listen

sorry to hijack your thread (but you seem to know more than most about these).
I am looking for an AMP is yours available?
My BMW amp has stopped working after it got wet, (my car is a 335 and has idrive/sat nav/bmw factory fit spec) could I use an after market AMP or does it have to be a BMW unit (fibre optic?) thanks if you can answer trying to avoid having a large bill from BMW.

If it has a fiber optic input i would assume you would need an amp that can accept that input - unless there is a converter or some type of adapter to make it work with standard analog inputs. Or you could just run new wires from the speaker out on the idrive unit (if it has this even I'm not sure...) and plug any amp in!

you might be better splitting it. first dibs on the tweeters and mids if you split.

1:how much for just tweeters
2: how much for just mids
3: tweeters and mids.

cheers

OP few tips.
Firstly add max photos which should give plenty of information to potential buyers. Take photos of drivers, amp, harness and where you fitted your amp.
Secondly, review your price and try to go for lowest price you want. In all honesty, nobody will pay you the price you asked for. Considering your are throwing door trims, you should keep it close to apline kit.

Reality is, in UK, people are so conservative and wants to try only those things which have been tried many time. One example is Apline upgrade kit.

So if you want to sell it, keep your price fair and close to what people can afford.

Hope it helps.
