need help regarding mechatronic sleeve!!!

after removing the tranny pan ,I pulled the white plastic lock down and got the mechatronic sleeve off but I can't get the white plastic to go back up.
it just will not go back up with or without the sleeve.

has anyone experienced this ??

got it to lock finally. sleeve needs to be pushed in pretty hard.
