Grr Paintwork..
Hey,
I noticed this the other day, it's the drivers side front wing that looks as if the paint has been ground off at the corner.. down to what looks like the primer underneath?! ![]() I mean wtf.. i can only assume this happened at a dealer with a machine buff or some shit. Anyway, that's by the by, the last time someone else had my car was ages ago and it's my own fault for not noticing it sooner. Anyone know how much this should set me back to repaint? I'm no painting expert but would they just mask off the surrounding area and blend it in? Or it it full respray of the front wing.. No damage is actually done to the wing.. it's just the paint has come off! Irritating. ![]() |

That will be a very easy 'smart' repair.. Check out local mobile repairers.. Should cost no more than £100.

Not a fan of smart repairs; £150 or so would see a proper job - repaint the wing.

I probably wouldn't even bother getting the whole thing painted.
Touch it in yourself, put some clear-coat over the top and wet-sand it with some 3,000 grit wet 'n' dry and finish it off with some polish or something like Meg's ScratchX 2.0 That should be a "good enough" repair to most casual observers. The problem with getting the whole wing done is that the finish might not be up to standard causing you more grief! |
