OIL CHANGED? no oil reset?

so i supposedly gotten my annual oil change at BMW, well i got it back and the oil odometer isn't reset? it still says 2500 miles on it. so did they change it and forgot to reset it? how can i check they changed the oil?

also can i get another oil change when the reading falls from 2500-0?

Why would you want another oil change after 2500 miles? A little pointless and a waste of your time.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

I wasn't due for my oil change according to the CBS, but my SA said he could change it as an annual change but he could not reset the CBS. I think they are only allowed to reset the CBS when they actually change the oil when it's due, I'm sure they did do the oil change though. My CBS says I'm due for another oil change in 4500 miles when I really just got it done. I'm doing it every 6000 miles so I'm good.

As for your other question, you can get another one at 2500 but it will be worthless and it will have to be out of pocket.

OK that answers my question i believe.
so they didn't reset it cause the CBS didn't hit zero,
but did the oil change since its been a year.

once it hits zero you can just reset it yourself or deal with the light coming on until your next change at the dealer and have them actually set it to when your changes are

same thing here, I have changed the oil twice in past three years as annual low milage (~4k miles in three years) they did not reset my service indicator. I thin its for warranty reasons. CPO warranty in my case.

I think he means his distance until service says 2500 remaining, the oil service indicator can be reset easily, here is the link:

Tip: Even with the car running while stopped you can perform these steps. If you change your own brake pads do not reset your brake pads without changing the brake sensor cable first.
