335i coupe cracked rear subframe - help!

Hi - I've never posted to one of these sites before and i'm hoping my msg comes through. I leased a 2009 335ci and in Sept 2010. Within a few months, I was having issues with the runflat tires and bending rims. The car has also had alignment issues - it took BMW 2 weeks to diagnose the car with a cracked subframe. BWM wont repair under warranty and told me to use my insurance. I dont think i should use insurance for an issue that is related to poor engineering. (this was an issue with the E46)

I called BMW corp customer service and they offered to pay the $500 deductible but i must use my car insurance...

They've also threatened to start charging me for the loaner car if i dont return it - immediately.

Thoughts anyone?

Woooooow. I thought that was an early E46 only issue. This is ridiculous.

Damn that really sucks. I remember reading about this issue the E46s had. This may be the first I have heard about this problem with the E9x.. Hope you can get this resolved.

If you go through your insurance for such a repair, which doesn't really make sense to me, does this affect your premiums?

try a different dealer, I was told my old E90 had the same problem and it was covered. I traded the car before I got the actual repair done though.

Not completely sure if this will fit but if I were you I would buy a used subframe and have an indy shop install to shut everyones bitching up.
