I've put about 75 miles on the car since the install. I believe it's a little quicker - BMW's claim of .2 better in 0-60 and the 1/4 seems honest. My car is AT so the torque gain is greater than the HP gain and I can feel a difference.

This isn't a balls to the wall tune - which anyone investing in it already knows. I'm happy though with a bit of extra HP/TQ and no warranty concerns on a car that I need to drive daily.

Was there any new hardwhare installed?
Its just a software upgrade correct?
Do you have fog lights?

I was going to pull the trigger on this today, but after that review I am having second thoughts. I could do a lot of other things for 1K.

I heard from my SA today. He contacted BMW again about the special pricing on the Stage 1 Kit and said "we should have details in a couple of weeks".

I'll report back to the forum whenever I hear something definitive from him. Until that time, I'm holding off on the purchase.

I think that this is pretty cheap HP for the cost. It might be worth it but I don't think that the price will drop any time soon.

It's definitely worth it out of the factory. As a retrofit, it'll only add about $500 value to your vehicle, unlike the aftermarket tunes which will add $0 value to your vehicle (but pack a more powerful punch).

No. I didn't pay for it yet since I don't have it. I don't purchase parts with the assumption that they're going to install it. I pay them when the job is complete.


I received a quote, and will negotiate it down tomorrow morning. I gave a detailed report on pricing and parts a few pages back.

i guess they are having hard time selling 3er. You gotta throw what ever you can to keep assembly lines moving.

That said, I think 335i E92's days are numbered. I see BMW just sticking with the IS to close out model year.

Well they ordered the part (i.e. packet full of codes). I'll ask them what they can do for me since BMWCCA technically gives you 15-20% off parts. If they can't do anything then I lost nothing.

You didn't know that the parts are marked up and you can often get 15-20% off just by asking?


I paid $1800 for $2500 MSRP worth of rims & tires. Much like the MSRP of the car, there's a whole lot of wiggle room if you take the time to negotiate.
