BMW Wiper Blades
Over the past few weeks my wipers have started squeaking after they have been in use for a few minutes.
At first I thought the windscreen was dirty however after cleaning it thoroughly I don't think this is the case, I've now put it down to needing new wiper blades, however I am unsure? Has anyone else experienced this? And if I need new wipers does anyone know the part no. for 2 genuine E90 wiper blades? Thanks in advanced

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...61&fg=45&hl=16 Had the same issue with mine on a E92, tried everything but still sqeaked and jumped. Bought new ones in the end from my local stealer, £30!!! but now...............perfect. The E92 only had the wipers as a pair so couldnt get a single one, not sure if the E90 is the same. Halfords and all the usual places needed to order them in. |

Seriously, why would you even think about genuine BMW wiper blades? For years I've used www.wiperblades.co.uk and they're easily as good as OEM, but a fraction of the price.

When my wipers were playing up a couple of years ago I bought some Halfords top of the range ones for £28. They were crap, kept squeaking. So took them back and got my money back and did what I should have done in the first place and went to BMW and bought OEM. Only another £2 more and well worth it. Two years on they are still brilliant.

Yep agree with the others. OEM are a little expensive but the saving on non OEM is so marginal its not worth the bother (plus you normally have to order online and wait for delivery). Just jumped in the motor, drove to the stealers, 10 mins away, and bought them in the parts dept. Take 30 secs to remove and replace and are perfect not a sqeak or jump since i changed, money well spent in IMO.

Thanks for your responses guys, have tried cleaning the blades with vinegar and whilst the squeaking/juddering isn't as bad the issue is still there.
I'll be ringing BMW first thing Monday morning for some new wipers Thanks for your help

For some reason, if you select Touring instead of Saloon, there's a better range of blades available.

On my e91 the front wiper blades have an aero vane on top of the wiper that leans rearward and also a plastic blade holder cover that the angle aero vane fits snuggly into. I bought the bosch ones online and found whilst they could be fitted to the wiper arm, the little plastic cover would fit over the aero vane on the blade because the aero vane on a bosch is perpendicular to the wiper blade not angled rearward like the OEM one. My local stealer quoted me £45 for the pair. After I stopped laughing I hung up. Has anyone found a cheaper price for the OEM ones cos the Bosch ones don't look that slick since you can't fit the little plastic cover over them?
