Smile Vishnu PWM Meth Kit updates

Hi guys,
We made some very small revisions on the PWM meth kit. Most of you guys probably wouldn't notice but it's worth mentioning:

1) Finally got our custom made 45 deg silicone reducer elbows. Since they are made specifically for us, we lengthened the length of the 3.25" ID leg by 2.5cm. This will give you a bit more slack when pushing in and clamping down on the charge pipe.

2) The new flow valve/flow tube assembly is shorter thanks to the boys at Aquamist. This was accomplished by integrating the coupler to the end of the flow tube. Previous design on left. New design on right. Just a little cleaner looking with 1 less joint to tighten

3) As you can see in the pic above, we are now using allen head bolts instead of pan head bolts to secure the valve assembly and pump to the mount. Just makes things a bit easier to tighten. Still using nylon locking nuts on the other side so you will still never have to worry about retightening it yourself.

4) We are putting a dab of clear silicone sealant on the valve's electrical connector. It's unlikely that there will ever be water entering that hole. But if you decide to go river crossing, at least this connector will be water tight (the mating surface already had a rubber gasket and a locking screw!).

And yes, the next production batch is being built right now....

What's the expected wait time for a new order?

Approx 3-4 weeks. Just waiting on charge pipes right now. Unfortunately, our fabrication house moved locations and effectively delayed production for nearly 2 weeks.

"Also unique is that this is the first available methanol injection system that is actually controlled by the tuning computer (Procede). This means that it regular injection strategies based upon a wide variety of engine controls data (intake temp, fuel consumption, throttle angle, boost pressure, road speed, etc,.) and NOT just boost like other systems."

Will this integrate (or will it ever be able to integrate) to 3rd party tuning devices?

It has been exclusively designed for use with the Procede. But there is nothing stopping anyone from trying to make it work with another tuning platform. Can't imagine it being worth it though. Especially now that you can map your methanol table they way you want it.

Thanks for the response. I like the plug and play of the Cobb AP so I'll just have to see what they cook up with the access tuner software.

I think it's time for me to jump the fence and buy one of these kits!

Looks like high quality parts and full tune integration, plus it's all under the hood too.

Just need to get my post-shift timing issue resolved first, otherwise there is no point in running methanol with just 3 degrees of ignition advance.....lol

Shiv: can I send you a datalog on this issue?

Yep... send it to me. Preferably just a jpeg of the log and not the log itself.

So from what I see, it looks like the pump and flow valve can both come off the bracket.

That's good news for those running a CAI. I know I'm gonna try to come up with a mounting solution to work with my intake.

It will be at least another several weeks before we offer something for the n55. We still need to port over all the n54 coding which will take a bit of time/testing. But at that point, both platforms will have exactly the same features

Shiv, I'm a 6MT and having post-shift bog issues on the 6-14 maps (not sure if it's the same as what Ilma's reported?) When I am on the highway, especially in a really quick 2-3 shift that's WOT, I feel a total deadspot after the shift, when I floor the gas.

I haven't done any logs yet of it, but it was really obvious and repeatable. Last week I emailed you, as you requested, but I haven't heard back yet. I resent it today to be safe.

Can you please review and let me know? I've got a 2008 6MT that's stock other than the Procede, but I've done the CDV delete mod. I use 91 octane gas.

Mine doesn't bog at all, but then mine is AT.

In fact, if it wasn't for the datalogs, I would barely notice the drop in timing

I don't want to clutter Shiv's thread with pictures, but these two pictures show the problem:

http://www.procedetuning.com/BMW/n54...26-unknown.jpg

I would think that you could mount the pump and flow valve where the intake tract usually goes if you have a CAI, except the Dinan still uses that part too

This is my hope too, as I would like to keep my UR intake. Let me know what solutions you come up with, if any.

Good work there Shiv....If that's the second batch from the pre-orders, I think I see part of my kit lying on the table lol.

hate to sound like a broken record, but we need a RETRO FIT KIT for all of us loyal customers that have your original kit and can not get Labonte to fix our fail safes because they will not answer the phone or any emails!
