E90 headlights in france

Hi all. I\'m off to France soon and read somewhere that with xenon headlights you can pull a lever and switch the the lamps to LHD.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks guys

Are you doing a huge amount of night driving in cities?
If not I wouldnt even bother with them tbh.
Its not a major deal, after a few trips I never bothered and had no issues.

Dont intend on driving much at night but I thought it was French law to have them and high vis jacket and a triangle and a spare set of bulbs and anything else they fancy giving a spot fine for

And don't forget laser speed trap detectors. It's a fine and a pistol whipping at the side of the road if you're caught with one of them.

Personally out of sheer courtesy I'd get the stickies or whatever.

I drove across France last year in the M3, didn't bother with stickies. Think I forgot to be honest!! Hardly drove at night so didnt cause any grief!

I have been 3 times with the same set of stick on ones safely tucked in the boot with high vis jackets etc.
Recommend you just get some and take them along, just in case.

Or do what my mad dad does and drive with lights angled very low.

These days whenever I am on the continent I do as the previous poster said and drive with the lights pointing slightly lower.

Although possibly not the point: have you ever seen any LHD vehicle of any description with adjustment stickers on their lights? They don't all have adjustment levers/switches.

Do you need spare bulbs too? Bloody French will insist on us having spare wiper blades and an up to date eye sight prescription in a year at this rate.

And new shoes. You need a new pair of shoes. Still in the box. And they have to be brown.
