Best Pads for Daily 328i?

I need new front brakes on my 2008 328i Sedan. I am planning on going with OEM Zimmerman rotors, but am still undecided on pads.

I've read through as many threads here on the topic I could find and am not sure there is a consensus on the "best" pads for a street-only daily driver. I am coming to the realization that it may be difficult to top OEM pads without a compromise.

The pads on my radar:

Hawk HPS
Cool Carbon
Stop Tech
Performance Friction
PBR Axxis (but I understand the pads for my car are not yet available)

As a street pad, I take for granted decent fade resistance, expect no noise, and would prefer to cut down on dust. The current pads on my car are down to 2.5mm and have, if anything, too much initial bite - so unlike my track car, I could do with a less aggressive initial bite, as long as the overall braking performance and modulation is there.

Is there a good aftermarket pad I should be excited about, or just go with OEM?

I like the idea of lower dust and less "initial grab" for sure on the Akebonos - do you guys feel the overall stopping power of the Akebfonos are at least equivalent or better than OEM?

I seem to have read they don't quite measure up in that area, but not sure what the scoop is....

Many thanks for your input!!

another vote for Akebono ceremic. I changed my brake pads to Akebono about 2 weeks ago, and it feels the same to me. And + clean wheels!!

dont screw around get hawk hps and dont look back. they saved my ass more that once. let me elaborate, dont play with ceramics, they are not the quality as the hps, i am speaking from research and experience with the hawk hps pads. i had ceramic pads on my 2000 528, but did not drive it like i drove my 325. the hps pads had better feel then stock as in you had to press them to stop there was no touch stops. and when you put the brake pedal to the floor they never gave up even from 100mph+, and i speak from experience.
