Got my Alufelgens installed

Finally got my Alufelgens on the 323i. Really happy with the way they look. Really transforms the look of my car.

I know it needs a drop, and I have a set of KW coilovers but I'm holding off installing them because I have just ordered a new 328 with all the toys.

specs: Alufelgen SF-71s in titanium gunmetal. 8.5" and 9.5" x 19" et 35 with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 Continental Extreme Contact DW tires.

Alufelgens....sounds like a sneeze. Gesundheit!

They look sharp! The gunmetal matches well, and the center caps finish it off.

I love the look, a slight drop to help that wheel gap and they will look even better!

But you already know that

How are those tires though? i was thinking of picking a set up when i get my new wheels.

Its a little early to tell on the tires. Definitely a better ride than the 205/55/16 runflats that were on the car, even though its a much lower profile tire that replaced them. Bumps don't feel as sharp, and jarring, but I'll be watching a little closer for potholes now. Stickier for sure. I need to get some wear out of tires, so I went with the Contis which have a pretty good wear rating at 340. They're rated 8.8 at tirerack.com, (but I got them locally). Pricing is right in the middle of the group. (Wheels came from **********s.com btw. Thanks Alan. )

I'll post some better pics when I can. Photos don't really do justice to these wheels. Can't really see the concavity. They look much nicer in person.

Brent,

Agreeing with everybody above. You definitely need a drop, my eibach pro-kit is definitely more conservative than the h&r sport I had on my last 335i. I would say, the eibach pro gives you enough to satisfy the eye, but doesn't sacrifice any ride quality. The h&r sport were a tad lower, and of course, if you want to go crazy you go with h&r race. Otherwise, if you've got big money.....go for a set of coils.

Yes, I know it needs a drop, and I will be doing that with the KW Coilovers that are sitting in my garage, waiting for my new 328i to arrive. I'm not gonna go to the trouble of putting them on the 323i and getting an alignment, for the couple months till my new car arrives, only to have to remove them for that car and pay to have them reinstalled and aligned again.
