Talking I am a RFT whore

yup, I like them so much I adopted and gave a few of them a good home. Anyone thinking of putting their rft up for adoption? I have plenty of warehouse spaces for them.

Oh, these rft smell like piss. Anyone know why? I had transported them in the car and the smell almost made me throw up. So I had to open the doors to let the piss smell out of the car...

What do those tires come in at on your bathroom scale? Tirerack says 31# each but I'm wondering how accurate their weights are.

Thanks,
T

I just ordered them from the parts department, didnt buy them from another member. Love the looks of them.

Back to the tires! Do you need another set? I have a fresh set off a customers car.

I dont have a scale at home. I think they weight in the 30# range. I remember there is a thread out there where someone put these tires on the scale.

I have 4 rear 255/35 r18 tires and 2 front 225/40 r18 tires. I will post pics of my crurent tires for everyoe to see the wear and how many miles I have before putting on new tires. I could not be any happier with these rft (ecept for the road noise). In my old 323i, I could only get 24K on the oem tires.

I drive not too hard and not too benign but I do corner fast. Firestones in my area had a special on these tires with 15% off so I decided to gamble and buy some early. I figure I had plenty of room to store them and worst case scenario, I can alsway sell them.

I paid $220 for the front potenza re050A and $260 for the rear potenza re050A each. You can do the math with a 8.25% tax (no shipping since I picked them up). The 2 fronts are produced Jan 07 and all 4 rears are produced in August 06. I know they are cheap. Even with the tax, you cant even beat that with tireracks price and not to mention shipping cost.

They are OEM RFT just like what I have on my car the day I took delivery.
