I had my car detailed and... (Black Sapphire)
I had my car detailed for the second time(first time http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=holograms) I still cant belive, after 2 days, all the amazing rotory hollograms, and burnt spots in my car. I have three burnt spots, as if the guy left the mahcine spinning on a same spot too much time. I have rotory hollograms, my car looks like moing water with tides and everything. Im very upset. I will get pics as soon as posible.  Btw, in the past 7 months. My car has taken a lot of sun and rain and then sun again, yes thats the wheather here. And since summer has just ended it has taken a lot of sun. Im concerned for my car's paint now. And I really dont think the my paint is in its perfect state. I compared the pics i took 1 month after my first detail almost 7 months ago, and my paint looks a lot more deep and shinier than now..Last edited by MonacoBimm; 04-15-2007 at 04:35 PM. |

Have him refund the amount and then pay to have it corrected by a pro. Heck, for a box of Cuban cigars I'll fly down and take care of it for you (except the burn spots). I've fixed a few "hack" jobs myself and holo's and swirls are easily corrected.
Seriously, show him the spots you are referring to and negotiate the corrective actions. DON'T let him do the repair but insure he pays for it - if he inflicted this damage he is responsible for having it corrected. Sorry to hear of your experience but the paint CAN be corrected form the sounds of it. If it is truly burned through in spots you will certainly want to contact someone that knows what they are doing for repair/repaint. I'm anxious to see the photos and try to get full sunlight shots if you can. Good luck.

I uploaded pictures, but this hollograms are really hard for the camera to capture, so thats the best i could get. But, it is really not close to what you will se on pictures, it is a lot worse.. Especially on the roof. The burnt spots are like really roguh parts where the diameter of the rotory is marked on the paint as of millions of scratches like if he sanded the paint.

Awesome guys, I will buy either one of these kits. I will probably buy the one Adhd told me because it has more pads than I can se for future use. Im beggining to understand the world of detailing, and it seems its not as hard as it looks like. Btw I will still take píctures of my car in the sun so you guys could see

Update, my car is going for service tomorrow. And on wednesday they will re-detail my car again. There is nothing wrong with detailing a car that often right? I hope they do the right thing again. I think I am buying a kit and supplies to detail my car myself from now on.
