I agree, but I'm pretty sure that they won't make it to production.

We'll see how much more changes before production.

I just don't see this making it to production without MAJOR changes in the doors and roofline. Although the composite/glass look is cool as a concept, it will not pass the regulations in the US. I love the whole, futuristic Minority Report thing they have going on but just don't see this design making it onto public roads. I sincerely hope I am wrong because this thing looks amazing...

Because all of the cars you purchased had tint from factory right?

Looks 10000x worse than the previous concept. They got rid of the vertical strips in the kidney grills, as well as making the bumper stick out past the shark nose. Now it looks like a pig's snout more than a shark nose.

remove the blue accents, paint over the lower doors and hood, make rims in 16-17in and more sidewall and you have a car resembling production. the overall shape reminds me of first X5 - and it looks very good I think for that. Agressive, not cutesy like those iQ toyotas and wotnot.

I love the concept. It will need changes before production.

However, I think they could pass crash tests with the doors as-is. Depending on the thickness of the walls of that composite side member it is probably very strong.

The blue accents will make it to production. I dont recall where i read it, but those accents are details specific to i models and meant to give them some family "DNA". Something like the hoffmeister kink on the normal bimmers.

The i8 looks sexy and exotic, almost like a toy or something, but would definately turn heads. Sick acceleration too. Only .2 seconds slower than the new m5 lol. Loose the see-thru doors and some other minor changes and I think it can do well.

Here's my prediction: Epic flop. The i8 will be too expensive for most people to get their hands on, and the i3 will be so ugly and have such a small range, no one will want it.
