Someone with a 6Cylinder please check for me

My first post on this got lost with the server problems.

Can someone with a 6 Cylinder car please count on the oil filter cover ( big black plastic round thing on right of engine when looking at car from the front ) how many little vertical "faces" there are on the black part

Are there 14 or 16, or another number ?

Thanks

The 16 tells me what oil filter wrench the E90 needs (BMW wont sell it to the public here, so you have to get one from a german tool supply shop )

16 is the count Fleet, as you correctly suspected.
Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier but
A: I got super busy at work
B: The server seemed to be down for a while.

Cheers

exactly!!! they want to try and have some control over your servicing of the car, but i have been servicing my cars at my dealers ever since my first bmw in 1992. figured it's worth it, considering the very high cost of the car. any problems and i can take it straight back to them.

anytime i can help you out fleet, please don't hesitate to ask. same for anyone else. my pleasure to help in any way i can.

all the best.
